Support

Support quality
Namecheap

Namecheap runs support through 24/7 live chat and a ticket system. Both are listed in its Help Center, along with a knowledgebase, Guru Guides, how-to videos and a public status page.

What is not there is a phone number. We checked the Help Center and the contact pages on 5 August 2026 and found no published support line — if you want to talk to someone by voice, this is the wrong host.

We have not opened a chat or a ticket ourselves, so we are making no claim about how fast they actually answer.

Bluehost

Bluehost offers 24/7 support on all plans through live chat and ticket/email, plus an AI chatbot trained on its knowledge base. Phone support is available on every plan except the entry-level Starter tier. A self-service knowledge base and video tutorials cover most common setup and management tasks.

Pros & Cons

Pros
Namecheap
  • The renewal price is printed on the pricing page, not buried in the terms - flip the billing toggle to Monthly and there it is
  • A genuine 30-day free trial on every shared plan, so you can test with a real site before paying
  • You choose the datacenter region at sign-up - US, UK, EU or Singapore - which most hosts at this price do not offer
Bluehost
  • Fast, 24/7 customer service across time zones
  • Competitive pricing with valuable add-ons, no hidden costs
  • User-friendly interface, easy to navigate
Cons
Namecheap
  • No phone support anywhere - live chat and tickets only, on every plan
  • The free trial and the 30-day money-back guarantee are mutually exclusive: take the trial and you give up the refund guarantee
  • The entry Stellar plan is tight - 3 sites, 20 GB and a 300,000 inode cap
Bluehost
  • Frequent upselling to more expensive packages
  • Higher domain renewal price after the first year

Who Is It For?

Best for
Namecheap Good fit if you want a cheap, honest shared plan and would rather test it before committing - the 30-day trial plus a choice of four datacenter regions makes that easy. It also suits anyone who already buys domains from Namecheap and wants the site, DNS, SSL and email in the same account.
Bluehost You're a beginner or small-business owner launching a WordPress site on a budget, want a genuinely easy setup with a free domain for the first year, and your traffic is low to moderate: a blog, portfolio or brochure site.

How does the web hosting comparison tool work?

Pick two or three hosting providers from the dropdowns above and select Compare. The tool pulls data directly from Trusthost's own in-depth reviews and lays out pricing, plans, guarantees, features, server locations, and pros and cons side by side, so you can see exactly where each host wins or falls short without opening several tabs.

What does the comparison actually show me?

Each comparison covers starting price and full plan pricing (intro and renewal), the money-back guarantee, quick facts like free version, image editor, and SEO features, a differentiating feature list, server locations, performance data when we have it, support channels, pros and cons, and who each host is genuinely best suited for.

Where does the data come from?

Every figure shown here comes from our own hosting reviews, researched directly from each operator's own site rather than copied from other comparison sites. If a field like performance is blank for a host, it means we do not have real, independently measured data for it yet, and we would rather leave it empty than guess.

Which hosting providers can I compare?

You can compare any two or three hosts from our current lineup, including Bluehost, SiteGround, Hostinger, DreamHost, HostArmada, IONOS, GoDaddy, Liquid Web, and HostGator. Select your hosts above, or jump straight into one of the popular comparisons below.
